Suffolk Rambling Club is a friendly club which offers a warm welcome to all new members.

We organise walks in Suffolk, North Essex and occasionally Norfolk. We offer:

  • Sundays: usually a morning only walk (up to 6 miles) generally with an option of a pub lunch. Occasionally there will be the option of a shorter afternoon walk too.
  • Wednesdays: usually all day walks, normally a figure of 8 stopping at a pub for lunch (around 8-10 miles)
  • Saturdays: a morning or afternoon walk (around 6 miles). Please note that with effect from 2023, Saturday walks may be either morning or afternoon, so please check the time.
  • If a walk is described as a "figure of eight" walkers can chose whether or not they walk in the afternoon.

We also hold various social events from time to time.

Sunday and Wednesday walkers need to book a place to enable us to make sure there are not too many walkers, and to make sure we know who has attended each walk. For members this is really easy to do from this website. New/potential members should telephone the walk leader. There is no need to book for a Saturday walk.

We are an independent Club, which was established in 1921.
